Obour Institutes & Union of Arab Universities
In a step considered as the most crucial in the history of Obour Institutes, the supreme administration extended its activity to move from the local to the regional extent. From such point, the supreme administration began to direct its interest towards the Union of Arab Universities – located in The Kingdom of Jordan – whereas it is considered from those organizations affiliated to The Arab League.
Obour Institutes have succeeded in fulfilling the conditions and requests to be rewarded the membership committee, including the necessity of getting the domestic recognition, the number of students, teaching staff, postgraduates, and the administrative staff, as well as the availability of physical capabilities and logistic support services for the educational services.
In 2007, General Secretariat of the Union of Arab Universities has approved joining of Obour Institutes on 21/04/2007 to its active membership as the first High Institute – whether on the domestic or on the regional level. From such date the participation of the institutes in the activities of the Union started till present.
What does the membership of the Union of Arab Universities represent?
- An international recognition of Obour Institutes which provides its graduates with job opportunities, or the completion of post graduate studies at any other Arab country.
- A recognition from one of the largest organizations with the availability of the good elements and components for Education and Learning, as well as with the presence of an administration able to managing the educational activities on the highest level of quality.
- A good opportunity for the students of Obour Institutes to participate in the activities annually organized by the Union for the students of the Arab Universities.
Obour Institutes & the Arab Council for Training Students of Arab Universities
The Arab Council for Training Students of Arab Universities - considered an affiliation to the Association of Arab Universities- is concerned about coordinating the training exchange activities annually for the students of member universities.
Obour Institutes have joined the membership of the association as of 2007 and participated in the 14th Conference for exchanging the students held in 2008 at Assuit University – Arab Republic of Egypt, and the 15th Conference for exchanging students held in 2009 at Bagy Mokhtar University – Algeria, and at the 16th Conference for exchanging the students held in 2010 at Jordan University – Kingdom of Jordan, in addition to the 21st Conference for exchanging the students held in 2016 at Fayoum University – Arab Republic of Egypt, and finally the 22nd Conference for exchanging the students held in 2017 at Ain University – The United Arab Emirates.
What does the membership of The Arab Council for Training Students of Arab Universities mean for Obour Institutes' Students?
Availability of opportunity for all students – each in his field of specialization – to get a training chance during the summer holiday at any of the Arab Universities abroad and also in his field of specialization whereas Obour Institutes bear – in exchange – the accommodation and living fees at the host country for a period ranging from fifteen days to one month.
As a result of training, Obour Institutes throughout the past years could provide around one hundred different training opportunities abroad for their students in various specializations by exchanging students with Tishreen and Damascus Universities in Syria, Kurdofan University in Sudan, and Nezwa University in Sultanate Oman.
